Choose from a selection of FREE programs designed to promote creative engagement while connecting educators and students with all the marvelous resources available at your local library.
Example services:
Library Tour- Duration: 45 min. (All Ages)
Bring your group to the library to enjoy a tour of our facilities and learn more about your local library. Grades Pre-K through 2 groups will also experience a brief Storytime during their visit.
Lego Club- Duration: 45 min. (Grades K & Up)
Your students experience one of the library’s most popular events. We supply the Legos and your students supply the creativity!
Book Tasting- Duration: 1 hr. (All Ages)
Book tastings offer an excellent opportunity to engage students in readers advisory and introduce them to diverse literary genres. For choosing their top picks during the presentation, younger students (K-2) receive book tasting "placemats" and older students (3-12) receive "brochure menus." Students also receive library card information, and are encouraged to head to their nearest PCPLS branch and check out their top picks.
Summer Reading Presentation (Seasonally) - Duration: 30 min. (All Ages)
Schedule a school assembly and enjoy an engaging Summer Reading promo designed to encourage library engagement throughout the Summer.
Storytime- Duration: 30 min. (Pre-K & Up)
Storytimes are a great way to foster early literacy skills through songs, books and play.
