02 Dec The PCPLS Website Has A Brand New Look!
Have you noticed the revamped PCPLS website? Recently, our staff worked with an Indianapolis marketing and website design firm to give our website a fresh new look. The new site will make it easier for patrons not at the library to find books, start researching genealogy, view our services, and preview upcoming events and programs! Please be patient as we update and streamline this new site.
Why Did We Revamp the Site?
At PCPLS, we make it our mission to provide all residents of the library district with a comprehensive collection of materials in a variety of media that records human knowledge, ideas, and culture and to organize these materials for ready access. The new website is designed to better support our mission and commitment to you, our community. Through the new website, patrons will find it so much easier to find a wide variety of materials. You can search our catalogue of books, but you’ll also find information on downloading our mobile applications, accessing ebooks, and listening to eAudiobooks. In addition to all of that media, which was accessible on the previous version of our site, patrons and community members will have more ready access to said materials because of the site’s new navigation, mobile optimization, and user experience design.
Refreshed Logo and Tagline
In addition to the revamped website, you’ll probably notice that PCPLS also has a refreshed logo and tagline, both of which support the library’s mission. The logo features a lower case “i” in the spine of a book and in the word library. We chose the ‘i” because it stands for information, which is by far the biggest service we provide to the community of Porter County. Our new tagline, “Discover your library, your way,” is all about you, our patrons. We want you to feel empowered to discover new books, new hobbies, new family history, and a whole world of other information every time you visit one of our branches. It’s our goal to provide you a place to make those discoveries the way you want and need to.
